Gene Kansas | Commercial Real Estate (GK | CRE), founded in 2003, was launched with the mission of "not being confused with any other commercial real estate firm". Gene Kansas, founder, created that mission from a community perspective, a customer service perspective, and from a creative perspective. "We offer the same experience and professionalism as the big brokerage firms, but we use more insight, more creativity and more social information to deliver results", says Kansas. Specializing in in-town Atlanta, GK | CRE approaches real estate from a fresh point of view, considering the "people behind the property" and the context of their commercial real estate in the community.

GK | CRE buys, sells and leases commercial real estate. With the majority of its clients being investors, developers, large non-profits and creative professional firms, GK | CRE has delivered a range of urban landmarks in concert with community standards and clients needs, garnering several honors including Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles "20 under 40" along with silver and bronze awards from the American Society of Interior Designers to name a few.

The company currently represents more than $250 million in assets and over 1.5 million square feet in listings and brokerage assignments. Its notable client list includes such well-known business names as Halpern Enterprises, Novare Group, the Atlanta History Center, Alternative Apparel, The Integral Group, the JCC, Pope and Land, Dewberry Capital Corporation, Task Force for the Homeless, Gresham Smith Partners, Steve Nygren, Grammy Award Winning Zac Brown Band, Grammy Award Winning Producer Ben Allen, Octane Coffee, Aurora Coffee, Burger King and Ardens Garden to name a few. But GK | CRE also advises real estate results for innovative young companies such as rising architectural firm ai3 and solar systems provider Radiance Energies.

Founder Gene Kansas marries a well-honed entrepreneurial spirit with his deep reverence for community cohesion. He came to Atlanta after graduating from the University of Arizonas Berger Entrepreneurship Program, where his business plan for Bad Hair Day Publishing Co. created a best-selling local sensation, Police Beat, and made him a published author by age 21. He has been invited back four times since graduating to judge the schools annual business plan competition.

In addition to his business success since arriving in Atlanta, Kansas has devoted countless hours to community service promoting the arts, historic presevation, and greenspace conservation. He has been a volunteer and mentor for the past 11 years with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Atlanta. Kansas also serves on the Communications Committee of the Historic Oakland Foundation and chairs the Facilities Committee of the Atlanta Contemporary Art Center, where he sits on the Board. His civic support includes Georgia Watch, the Freedom Park Conservancy, the Grant Park Conservancy, the Grant Park Neighborhood Association and Park Ride.
Gene Kansas | Commercial Real Estate is distinctively poised to offer the best in client service and professionalism to a range of individuals and organizations seeking creative, community-oriented solutions to their real estate needs in a complex urban environment.
